In the winter of 2014 Serenus Johnson began the conversion of a vacant, two story building located on McLaren Bay Region’s West Campus into the new Karmanos Cancer Institute.

The project included interior renovations to nearly 30,000 s f covering two floors.  Extensive interior demolition was needed to transform the first floor into comfortable waiting rooms, private and group infusion rooms as well as conferencing and support spaces.
The second floor includes exam rooms, physician offices, conferencing and support spaces.

Extensive electrical and lighting rework, the existing HVAC system and all interior finishes were updated to complete the renovation.
The completed project was ready for occupancy in the Fall of 2014.
