Field Engineer/Safety Manager
Chad joined the Serenus Johnson team in January of 2019 as a Field Engineer / Safety Manager. He is responsible for employee safety and field training to support pre-qualification platforms (ISNetworld). Chad also works directly with many of SJC’s field employees, mentoring them to develop team continuity and team success. He works to develop and maintain company procedures to be the most effective while remaining compliant to federal and state safety mandates, manages waste mitigation from materials and supplies for recyclable use, oversees equipment repair and preventative maintenance program through tool tracking.
Chad has worked in various fields throughout his career including welding fabrication, welding inspection, and municipality work for the Hampton Township DPW, moving from general laborer, to foreman to Interim DPW Director. Chad brings with him a versatile and dynamic skill set developed through experience and education.
Chad earned his AAS in Welding Technology from Ferris State University in 2009 and a BS in Engineering Technology Management from Saginaw Valley State University in 2011. Chad possesses an S-2 WaterWorks System Operator, is a C.O.S.S. (Certified Occupational Safety Specialist) graduate and is continually looking for ways to increase his knowledge and skills through more training.
