The Facade overlay window replacement at Consumers Energy Saginaw is complete!
Serenus Johnson has a long-standing relationship with Consumers Energy and has completed multiple projects with them throughout the State of Michigan over the years. Our most recent project was located in Saginaw at their Gas T&S Facility. Our crews worked to replace their existing aluminum windows, storefront door, and to install new insulation and siding around the perimeter. The replacement doors were required to include card readers and mag locks for their secured entry. We also performed the installation of wood blocking, interior painting throughout the building, installation of quarry tile and carpet.
Work began in early November 2018 and ended in January 2019. William A Kibbe, another long-standing partner of Serenus Johnson, provided the design for this job. In addition to the facade overlay and window replacement, this project also included glass and glazing, roofing, sheet metal, custom blinds, interior painting, electrical, mechanical and flooring work. Our construction crew faced several weather-related challenges throughout the duration of this project including the late fall start to the project bringing muddy, soft ground due to rain. January challenged them with lows of -12 degrees Fahrenheit and 20mph winds. Some of the work was delayed, for safety purposes, or became difficult to work in. Serenus Johnson is grateful for another great opportunity to partner with Consumers Energy this year! Dan Seguin served as the Project Manager for this project. Steve LaFramboise served as the Site Superintendent for this project.
Serenus Johnson also performed as the General Contractor on the Consumers Energy Clare Service Center, a Design/Build project in 2015, along with various other jobs.
